Ingredients:
For each serving of oatmeal use:
1 cup water
1/4 tsp. vanilla extract
pinch of grated nutmeg
pinch of ground cinnamon
2 Tbsp. shelled hemp seed
1/2 cup rolled oats
dash of kosher salt
Method:
Bring water to a boil. Add vanilla, nutmeg, cinnamon, and shelled hemp seed. Reduce heat to fast simmer and add rolled oats. Cook uncovered until liquid is almost gone. Reduce heat to low and cover until oatmeal is the consistency that you like it. Add salt to taste after cooking. Serve with maple sugar and hemp milk.
Notes: This recipe works best with thickly rolled organic oats. Clean up is easy if you make the oatmeal in a non-stick sauté pan.
